SCHOLARSHIPS
We take pride in the educational accomplishments of our youth. The scholarship award was created to honor an outstanding individual(s) who is involved with the MTA as well as his/her community. The 2010 scholarship recipients were:
Bianca Howard – student at Columbia College in Chicago; major: broadcast journalism with a minor in dance; loves to dance and volunteer her time; helped with the Saturday clinic during the summer, 2010.
Alexandria Nealy – student at Hampton University in Virginia; major: physical therapy; prior recipient of the MTA scholarship; very involved in community service and helped with the MTA Saturday clinics.
Deanna Richardson – freshman at Concordia University; major: biology; would like to have a career in physical therapy; undefeated in conference.
